Staff at the Chiromo Funeral Parlor took a minute to stand in memory of the victims of Garissa massacre. The Chiromo Funeral Parlor handled 144 victims from the tragedy. Also present were members of staff of the Department of Human Anatomy.
End of First Year Human Anatomy Exams
First year medical, dental, pharmacy and nusrsing students began their end of year examinations in Human Anatomy on 20th April 2015. This exams come after 30 weeks of rigorous learning. They comprise of Anatomy Essays on 20th April 2015, Practical exams on 24th April and Vivas from 27th April. The department of Human Anatomy wishes them well during this period.
Basic Surgical Skills Training at the NSSC
Second year surgical students went through a three day basic surgical skills training course at the Nairobi Surgical Skills Center from 7th to 9th April 2015. Part of the faculty included Dr. Ojuka, Dr. Kiptoon and Prof. Hassan Saidi.
The practised skills included instrumentation, bowel anastomosis and suturing.
